🐾 Building Bonds Through Photography - A Day at Kilkenny Lane Country Park

Recently, we decided to take R&S Oxfordshire Photographers out into the community in a fun and meaningful way. We wanted to connect with local families, showcase our photography style, and give something back — so we headed to Kilkenny Lane Country Park in Carterton with a simple idea: free photoshoots for your furry friends.


Meeting the Community

There’s something special about stepping away from the studio and engaging with people where they spend their weekends. We designed a few posters, placed them around the park, and waited to see if anyone would be interested.


The response was heart-warming - four wonderful dog owners reached out, bringing along their playful pups for a relaxed, candid mini shoot.


A Day of Fun, Fur & Photography

If you’ve ever seen us photographing weddings or events, you’ll know we thrive on authentic emotion and natural connections. Capturing pets is no different - every wagging tail, tilted head, and joyful run tells a story.


We kept the sessions short and sweet - around 15-30 minutes per person - which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience for both pets and owners. The park’s natural greenery provided the perfect backdrop, allowing us to capture beautiful moments in a short time.


Strengthening Local Connections

While the day was filled with fun and adorable dogs, the goal was bigger than just photos. This event allowed us to meet local families, chat about upcoming weddings and portraits, and show what makes R&S different - a relaxed, community-driven approach to photography where everyone feels comfortable and celebrated.


Growing Our Portfolio

Of course, it wasn’t just a great social day - it also gave us a chance to expand our pet photography portfolio. The images captured are full of energy and character, perfectly complementing our wider photography services.


This is just the beginning - we’re excited to do more community-based mini sessions like this, offering people (and pets!) the chance to enjoy a fun, casual photoshoot while discovering what we can do for their next big occasion.
